BRAVO: The Gregory Hills Hotel show support to those in need

The Gregory Hills Hotel may be closed their doors to the public due to the COVID19 pandemic, not only are they open for takeaway services like many other businesses in the region but they are utilising this time for good.

The team are supporting local charity Vinnies with their Hotels Have Hearts initiative to ensure that vital donations such a clothing, blankets and accessories are avaliable for those who need it in the Macarthur community.

“We have a great community surrounding us who love to support a worthy cause and being centrally located in the biggest housing growth area of Australia, we leaped at the opportunity to assist’, said General Manager and Licensee of the Gregory Hills Hotel, John Payne.

“I am so pleased we took on this initiative to donate the time and our staff. As evident in just one and a half days, we have filled a whole Vinnies truck and are well on our way to requiring a second sweep by the end of Day Two”.

“I would like to thank all those residents who feel the same way as we do and who have rallied to contribute to such a worthy cause. Together we are continuing to support our beloved community and those individuals doing it especially tough during COVID-19”, said Payne.

The Grego is now a drop-off location on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11am - 3pm for goods to be donated to St Vincent De Paul's Hotels Have Hearts initiative.

Well done team!
