Qantas flight QF144 from Auckland has landed safely in Sydney after issuing a mayday call over the Pacific Ocean.
Paramedics and other emergency services were on standby at Sydney Airport as the flight landed at 3:26pm. Qantas has stated the Boeing 737 experienced an issue with one of its engines about an hour from its destination.
